While Atlanta spans a historical time-line of entertainment, it has recently become a recognizable market for non-traditional television and film projects. What is untapped as an area of promise is the recognition that Atlanta has evolved into the Mecca for African American gay men. This is evident in Atlanta’s African American gay population that is rapidly increasing daily.
Although the story remains untold, it’s no secret! When you think of Atlanta, you think of gay black men. Gay black men that are successful, and educated living “Tha Life” where they work and run the city.
Tha Life Atlanta is a reality based show that follows the lives of six African American gay men who live incredibly lives. Follow “Tha Life” to see just why Atlanta has officially become the gayest city beating out San Francisco. Everything isn’t always peachy; Atlanta’s gay elite shares some of the same issues as straight men and other cities, but with a captivating twist. These guys have it all, careers, cars, lovers, homes, social prestige, good looks, great bodies, personal problems, tragedies and pain ... all of essential tools for “Tha life in Atlanta”.
In the second episode "Turn Down For What," Julian Lark continues to expand his brand with a make-up line, while Allen Lindsey officially opens his recording studio L3 Studios. During the grand reveal, Tatum and Duquaye introduce us to their vocals as the shade continues...
This series started out shaky, but its new found charm is undeniable.
