24 year -old Oklahoma native Super Jay is heating up bedrooms with his latest single, “Yo Body."
Co-produced by himself and The Fam--who are responsible for Drake’s “Draft Day”--the new song tells a story of being stuck in the friend zone and breaking out of it by telling your lady friend how you feel about her.
Formally known as John Kendrick, the crooner received a lot of criticism for abandoning his roots as a rapper.
He states that people would often ask him, “Why do you want to sing? You're a better producer and rapper, u should stick to that” and for a while he actually agreed and did rap for a few years but when he would go home he would practice singing to himself emulating one of his icons--Usher
