Pharrell offers up some visual candy for his latest single "Marilyn Monroe."

As his sophomore LP G I R L continues to sell, the producer/song-writer/rapper/producer has released the highly anticipated video for one of the album's standout tracks.

The cover for the single features model Khadija Shari, a deliberate decision made by Pharrell after he received backlash for not showcasing any women of color on his album cover. The backlash soon backfired on critics when he revealed that one of the women was indeed Afrcian American--a former girlfriend of his.

“What I wanted to do is sort of reverse the connotation behind these statuesque standards of what beauty has to be,” Pharrell said about the song. “You can be every color, any shape, any size and any sexual orientation, because you’re a girl or a woman. We at I Am Other [his company] believe that what makes you different, is what makes you special.”

The music video sees him rocking his signature hat, as he performs alongside his female co-stars in a red, white, and blue room, in outer space, and on a rooftop overlooking downtown L.A. The racially-diverse dancers show off their moves in choreographed scenes by one of my favorite choreographers, Fatima Robinson.

Kelly Osbourne also makes a random guest appearance.
